Community Outreach

Communion for the Homebound and the Sick

Communion is brought by priests, deacon and lay ministers during the week, or as requested, to those that are unable to join us at liturgy including Catholic patients at California Pacific Medical Center and Davies Campus. Volunteers accepted. Training required.

St. Vincent De Paul Society

The Society helps the needy in our Parish on a one-to-one basis. Activities include the biweekly preparation of sandwiches and food for distribution to the homeless and those in need.

Shelter Meals Program

The Parish is responsible for assisting the San Francisco Interfaith Council Shelter Meals Program for one week during the winter season. The program is coordinated by the Renew Faith Sharing group. Volunteers are needed to help cook and serve dinner meals.

San Francisco Organizing Project (SFOP) Local Parish Committee

Through listening to the community, building one-on-one relationships, researching and analyzing policy, collaborating with other community organizations, and organizing large "action meetings" with decision-makers, SFOP has accomplished such key feats as universal health care for all San Francisco children, nearly 3000 units of affordable housing, and safer neighborhoods through job training and workforce development.

Mission Dolores does not currently have a local parish committee.
